RATES AND QUOTES

Project Quotes
Work performed by ADC is billed based on a schedule of hourly fees. After meeting with you to discuss the scope and parameters of your project, I will provide a written project quote detailing estimated professional fees, deliverables and time frames. To avoid surprises later on, you will be required to provide written authorization before work begins.

Unless otherwise noted, quotes include all required research and meetings, a completed first draft and two rounds of editing. Additional editing time will be billed on an hourly basis.

You will not be billed for travel time or brief telephone conversations. Project quotes do not include GST, out of pocket expenses or hard costs (long distance, courier fees, etc.).

I will not exceed a project quote without prior consultation with you and I will always obtain your approval before incurring hard costs on your behalf.

Occasionally during production, the size or scope of a project will change. Often these changes can be accommodated into the existing budget. Should there be major changes to the scope or parameters of a project, however, it may be necessary to revise the project quote accordingly.

Payment Terms
A deposit of one-third of the quoted amount is required prior to the start of work on a new project. This deposit will be deducted from the final project invoice.

Short-term projects (e.g. 45 days or less) will be invoiced upon completion. Longer-term projects are billed monthly based on work completed during each month, or upon other mutually acceptable terms.

If you require ongoing assistance, it may be more cost-effective to work out a retainer arrangement. I’d be happy to discuss this option with you in more detail.

Along with each invoice, you will receive a brief summary outlining the work I have completed on behalf of your company during the billing period.
